Our artisans meticulously handcrafted this ring using ancient Roman marble known as "Serpentino," a distinctive green porphyry sourced from Greece. These remnants hail from the ornate coverings adorning the villas of Emperors, gracing floors and walls with their timeless beauty. The Green Porphyry, dubbed "Serpentino," boasts irregular speckles of light green or yellow hues, quarried along the Sparta road.
Renowned even in the Augustan era, Serpentino found its place in Rome and, by the time of the Flavian emperors, became imperial property, attesting to its esteemed status. This marble held immense value, captivating hearts with its allure and garnering widespread admiration and popularity among connoisseurs of that time.
